| DESCRIPTION |
|
Large shrub or small tree, upto 9 m high. Leaves ovate or sub-rhomboid, obtuse or acute, crenate-dentate or entire, undulate. Flowers medium sized, white or pink in small, dichotomous, axillary cymes, forming a rounded terminal panicle.

| PHARMACOGNOSY |
|
The leaves are simple, opposite, exstipulate, broadly ovate, petiolate, puberulous, broadly ovate, petiolate, puberulous with crenate margin. In young plants they are much larger while very small ones occur on and near the panicle of old stems. Leaf is dorsiventral with 1 to 2 or 3 layers of palisade cells. Both glandular and non glandular hairs are present. Stomata are cruciferous.
