55Yr M ,Obese, nonvegetarian at present no complaints, routine healthcheck up shows 3to4 tiny GB polyps 5to6mmin size .surgeon adviced yrly f/uto see for the size of the polyp.is there any ayurvedic treatment to stop the furtheradvancement in the size of the polyp
GB polyp usually do not produce any symptom and remain silent for a long time. Due to blockage in the duct lead to jaundice and may be detected. In this case they have been detected early..First of all diet and life style should be regulated. As said by Dr. Kranti Arogya vardhini vati works. Paneeya kshar should be given, even lemon water with honey can also be used..Surgery remains the best in such cases
>>the patient requires only follow up scans every six months to see any changes. >>>surgery is required in polyp>10mm/multiple polyps/polyps causing some obstruction. >>>surgery might be difficult to avoid in this particular case. >>>you can try using kanchnar guggullu/triphalaguggullu >>>there is no benefit of using pitta virachak drugs.
jai ayurved gb polyp is the mucosal sessile outgrowth of gall bladder. maha sankha vati 2 bd 6am and 6pm before food.kanchanara guggulu 4tabs bd after food. cap.picrolax 2 caps bedtime on alternate days - it causes purgation so caution the patient.
tamra bhasma (shwet)125mg--bd narikel lavan half teaspoon twice lowest possible fat intake, i had used with two cases they were benign, less than 10 mm size. reduced to almost invisible after 6 weeksas seen in u/s
as size is still in favour and its not obstructing duct,go for more preventive measures like reducing wt and low fat intake,as dr sood mention extra virgin olive oil u can try that.till its nt causing any problem and nt malignant u should try giving aarogyavardhini, trivikram it has tamra bhasam with indukaant kashayam...in case of any further negative signal opt surgery
There won’t be any symptoms in cases with Gall Bladder polyps. Find out weather it is benign or malignant. Give Arogyavardhini Vati 2 bd before food and Trivikram Ras 1 bd after food for 40 days. Repeat Ultra Sound will find good results. If Pain appears and the polyp size is more than 10 mm or if it is malignant then refer the Patient to a good surgeon.
if there are no associated complaints of pitta , then it should be treated with arogyavardhini and kumari asav . if there are gall stones with the polyp , then better to go for surgery .
recommend surgery in all patients who are over the age of 50, have a gall bladder polyp that is greater than 1cm or if there are less than 3 gall bladder polyps in the gall bladder. If a patient elects not to have surgery then recommend six monthly follow up with ultrasound evaluation.
**one of the major causes for them to occur is excess intake of fatty contents like red meat, ghee, and edible oil and life style changes such as lack of regular exercise. **they are not threat for cancer but sometime they cause blockages in the gall bladder duct thereby causing obstructive jaundice. **take about 40 to 50 ml of pure olive oil on empty stomach every morning and take triphala churana (1 to 2 teaspoon full) with water at night for four days..though it look strange to take olive oil as it also contain fat but due to its properties to dissolve gall bladder polyps it is widely popular. **The best treatment for gallbladder polyps is to surgically remove the gallbladder when adenomas = 10 mm are present;this approach minimizes the chance of not treating a premalignant lesion.
