| DESCRIPTION |
|
A diffuse, prostate or trailing herb. Leaves 3-foliolate, leaflets 1.5-4.5 * 0.8-5.3 cm, membranous, shallowly lobe, middle lobe largest, spathulate, lateral leaflers spathulate with subacute or obtuse apex, hairy on both sides; petiole upto 7.5 cm long.

| PHARMACOGNOSY |
|
Leaf : The leaves are tri-foliate, petiolate, petioles 4-9 cm long, grooved, glabrous or with a few scattered hairs; stipules 1-2 cm long, ovate, oblong, subacute, attached above the base, ciliate. The leaflets are lobed, braodly spathulate, obtuse or subacute, pale green, membranous, glabrous or with a few hairs on the veins, odour characteristic and taste acrid. Leaf in transverse section is dorsiventral with upper and lower epidermis, bulged towards both surfaces in midrib region, with conjoint, collateral exarch vascular bundle, being capped on both sides by colle?ch?matous cells and encircled by a parenchymatous bundle sheath.
