Still I am not in a position to digest the facts of sabudana .... because it is considered as one of the best & tasty food .... many kitchen preparations are there from sabudana ....... Especially the sweet prepared from this is considered as best in Diarrhoea & Desentry ...... Really unbelievable fact.

Oh my God I never knew about such a thing. I am a pure vegetarian and Sabudana is made in our house during Shiv Ratri because at Shiv ratri we are fasting so at night we prepare this at home and eat. I am not able to digest the fact I just read. Well I think government has to look into the matter. I will not bring sabudana from now on if this is true. Thank you for the information sir
thanx a lot for such a useful information. Same thing happens with low quality sausage factories producing tomato sauce from rotten vegetables. at least this time people should think of pure fast....with no any special food for fast.

EEEEEKS...kaha se mili ye information??? Is it really true? Then what the FDA is doing? Anyways I 100% trust you. and henceforth "nahi khayenge, nahi khayenge...Sabudana nahi khayenge". You mentioned in one of the comments that, you tell patients not to eat maida and poha as well. Maida I know, but what about poha? Even 'Bharjit poha' (Chivada) also should not be eaten? what about 'kurmure'? please clarify. Thanx a lot.

Saabudana is not only used in India,is world widely used as a staple food in some region and as a thickening agent also.Topic is gluten,protien and contains prectically no vitamins. There is description..The cassava Plant(sabudna plant) two types red,green.The root of green variant Requriers treatment to remove a Cynogenic Glycoside occurring. Naturally in the plant other wise it May be converted into Cyanid." However in my opinion the process ,they are using is not a negative Step.No doubt saabudaana is a very light food as well good for health .
