Total numbers of physician- as on 1-4-2009 Total Ayush practitioners are more than the allopathic practitioners in India. And Ayurveda has almost 60% out of Ayush. Homeopathic practitioners are next to Ayurveda
And the share among Ayush component-
Strange thing about total practitioners is that here is no Ayurveda physician registered in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tirpura. Only Homeopaths are registered. How we serve the population- If we look how the entire health care system is serving Indian population, We are not far behind in serving the per population of India. Educational set up- The back bone of any system is educational institutions, here again numbers of institutes of Ayursh are more than allopathic. Ayurveda alone is just near to total Allopathic medical colleges. Undergraduates- Total Under graduate student intake in Ayush Colleges is not far behind. College admission capacity for allopath is based for the year 2009-10 and for Ayush as on 1-4-2009.

Post graduation- From here on wards main apathy starts. Having the almost same numbers of colleges and intake we far far behind in quality specialist. How big is the gap in post graduate education-? PG in Ayush-

Health care facilities- Total numbers of hospitals and dispensaries-
Only aim of any system of medicine is to keep our nation healthy and treat the diseased persons effectively. Total number of Ayush dispensaries and hospitals are just pea nuts as compare with allopathic dispensaries in government sector- state and centre both.
